According to introducing, this project focus on deepwater oil and gas resources exploration, drilling and well completion, ocean engineering and security three aspects has carried out the key technology research, completed the semi-submersible drilling platform deepwater pipe-laying and the design construction technology research and development, for China's first deepwater semi-submersible drilling platform hysy - 981 and the first deepwater pipelaying ship "offshore oil 201" and other major equipment provides the technical support.

Team independently developed China's first set of sea high precision seismic exploration technology and equipment, and deepwater bop, deepwater drilling riser, deepwater subsea wellhead first-class deepwater engineering prototype core equipment, developed with independent intellectual property rights of deep well body structure design, surface well drilling and well control, drilling fluid, cementing, well completion test and other key technology, and successful application about deepwater oil and gas exploration and development project.
